Magdalena Solska, PhD, is a post-doctoral researcher and lecturer in political science at the University of Fribourg, Switzerland. She studied in Regensburg and Norwich, and accomplished her PhD at the University of Regensburg in 2013 with a comparative study “Systemic Crisis of Communism and the Development of Party Systems in Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania”. Her research interests focus on comparative politics, systems of government as well as political parties and party systems in the post-communism. Solska’s post-doctoral research deals currently with the examination of political oppositions in post-communist democracies in Central and Northeastern Europe.
